Sandy became one of the first women to be licensed as an architect in Utah. She has had her own architectural practice since 1989. They are the proud parents of two adult sons; Robert Hatch and William Hatch. Robert graduated from Judge High School in 2001 and holds a BA in Economics from Boston College in 2005. Currently he works as an economic analyst in Boston. William graduated from East High in 2006 and is currently a junior at Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona.
